We do ask to be unplugged (no phones out) at our wedding ceremony since we will have a photographer and videographer. We will have times for photos or videos at times throughout the day. We do encourage to share our wedding day with the hashtag: #BjellandWedding2025 and download the POV app.

Parking​

Parking will be at Turtle Gate, the wooden gate in the main of the Topeka Zoo. This leads directly into the Kay McFarland Garden & Venue.

​You may park at the zoo in the parking lot. I would recommend either Uber or taking the bus that will be provided to the venue since parking is first come first serve.​

Do Not Feed the Koi or stick anything in the water. This includes bottles, trash, confetti, food, ribbon, balloons, or yourself, etc.

We will start the day at the gorgeous Kay McFarland Japanese Garden. Featuring winding stone pathways, exotic plants, a pond, and much more, this botanical wonderland can host an unforgettable ceremony. We will exchange vows overlooking the koi pond. We will have a hors d'oeuvre after the Ceremony; followed by the Reception. The Reception will then take place inside the luxurious hall, complete with high ceilings, wooden beams, polished concrete flooring, and panoramic views of the garden. This space will include dinner, a dance floor, and live entertainment.
