Our Story
Once upon a time, in the bustling halls of Holton High School, two young souls crossed paths in the most unexpected of places - an Arts & Crafts class. It was the junior year, and fate had decided that their story was just about to begin. Rieder was a charming young man with a knack for creativity, while his soon-to-be sweetheart was a kind-hearted girl with a love for all things art. Their friendship blossomed over shared paintbrushes and colorful clay, until they were inseparable. Destined to be Class of 2017, High School Sweethearts. As their senior year approached, their bond only grew stronger. They found themselves riding the bus together to Washburn Tech, sharing stories and dreams for the future. From sitting apart to sitting side by side, they knew they were meant to be together. It was on a crisp autumn day, October 21, 2017, at the West Ridge Family Fun Bowling Alley, that Rieder finally gathered the courage to ask her out. With a nervous smile and hopeful heart, he popped the question, and to his delight, she said yes without a moment's hesitation. Their love continued to flourish as they graduated from Washburn Tech and ventured into the halls of Washburn University, hand in hand. Surrounded by their beloved fur babies - Pepper, Kiki, Cleo, & Axtel - they built a life filled with laughter, love, and endless adventures. Years passed, and on a special weekend getaway to Kansas City, Rieder had a surprise in store. In the elegant ambiance of The Raphael, under the shimmering lights of the Plaza, he knelt down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever. Overwhelmed with joy, she uttered a resounding yes, sealing their commitment to a lifetime of happiness together. And so, dear friends, let us raise our glasses to this beautiful couple as they embark on a new chapter in their love story. May their journey be filled with endless love, cherished memories, and the promise of a future as bright as the stars above.
